General
KenyanTutors.com is a tutor discovery and support platform designed to help students and parents find suitable tutors, and to help tutors present their profiles professionally.
KenyanTutors.com is currently in the tutor onboarding phase. Tutors are being recruited and verified first, so that the platform launches with strong profiles and a good standard of quality.
Not at this stage. Payment arrangements are made directly between the tutor and the student/parent. Tutors set their own rates and availability, and they operate on a self-employed basis.
For Students & Parents
Review the tutor’s subject(s), level, experience, introduction video, and availability. Shortlist two or three tutors, then message them with your goals (exam board, topics, and timeline) to confirm fit.
Share the student’s level, the syllabus/exam board (if applicable), key topics to focus on, the target date (exam or deadline), and any recent scores or teacher feedback. This allows the tutor to plan effectively.
Tutors set their own rates. Prices can vary based on subject, level, experience, and lesson format (online or in-person, where offered).
This depends on the individual tutor. Some tutors offer single lessons, while others prefer a short block of lessons to make measurable progress.
For Tutors
Use the “Become Instructor” link and complete the tutor application. Once submitted, the application is reviewed and you may be asked for final items (such as an introduction video) before publication.
Yes. Tutors set their own hourly rates and availability, and operate on a self-employed basis.
A short introduction video increases trust and helps students and parents select a tutor confidently. It typically improves profile engagement and enquiries.

Safety & Standards
Tutor applications are reviewed before profiles are published. The process focuses on profile quality, clarity, and suitability for students.
Contact support with as much detail as possible (date/time, names, and a short description). Where appropriate, the platform can review concerns and take reasonable steps.
